    8. Eligibility & Registration

You may register for an account with our website. During this process, you may be required to choose a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords and account information and agree not to share your passwords, account information, or secured access to our website or services with any other person. You must not allow any other person to use your account to access the website because you are responsible for all activities that occur through the use of your passwords or accounts. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any disclosure of your password.

8.1. Mentor (Instructor)

8.1.1. To become a Mentor on StructUP, you must be a qualified professional with relevant experience in the field of Civl/Structural Engineering. You also agree to undergo a background check and provide necessary certifications and credentials as requested by the Company.

Also, as a mentor, by registering to our website (StructUP):

8.1.2. You agree to setup scheduled meetings (online/face to face) with your students from the first session of the mentorship.

8.1.3. You agree to respond to your students’ inquiries within 2 working days.

8.1.4. You agree (where possible) to organise face to face meetings with your students.

8.1.5. You agree to issue a recommendation letter at the end of the mentorship to your successful students to support their employability.

8.1.6. You agree to provide feedback and guidance, and engage with Students through online discussions and assignments.

8.1.7. You agree to maintain a high level of professionalism and expertise in your interactions with mentees. This
includes providing accurate and relevant guidance, sharing your knowledge and experiences in a respectful manner, and upholding the ethical standards of the civil engineering profession.

8.1.8. You agree to recognise and value the diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences among mentees. Treat mentees with respect, irrespective of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics. Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all mentees.

8.1.9. You agree to establish appropriate boundaries within the mentorship relationship.
While providing guidance and support, mentors should refrain from
engaging in activities that are beyond the scope of the mentorship
program or that may create conflicts of interest. It is important to
maintain professional boundaries and avoid any actions that could be
perceived as favoritism, exploitation, or harassment.

8.2. Student (Mentee)

8.2.1. To enroll as a Student, you must be a student of civil engineering or a related field.

Also, as a student, by registering to our website (StructUP):

8.2.2. You agree not to share any of the course materials with anyone.

8.2.3. You agree to be respectful to your mentor and always follow his/her instructions.

8.2.4. You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the Website and Online Content and Courses which we provide may change from time to time without prior notice to you.

8.2.5. You agree not to use or access the Website or the Online Content and Courses for the purpose of contacting, harming or attempting to harm minors in any way.

8.2.6. You agree to adhere to the policies and guidelines established by StructUP, including but not limited to, the Code of Conduct. StructUP reserves the right to remove a Student from a course or terminate their enrollment if they violate these policies.

8.2.7. You agree that interactions with mentors should be conducted in a respectful and courteous manner. This includes written communication, such as emails, messaging platforms, and forums, as well as verbal communication during mentorship sessions or other forms of direct engagement.

8.2.8. You agree to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor when interacting with mentors. This includes refraining from any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive language. Treat mentors with courtesy, recognizing their expertise and dedicating time to help you grow in your civil engineering journey.

8.2.9. You agree to respect the confidentiality of any sensitive or proprietary information
shared by mentors during the mentorship program. Do not disclose or
misuse this information without proper authorization.

  1. Ownership of Materials

9.1. Courses: All materials, including but not limited to lecture notes, presentations, videos, and any other content provided by Mentors for the courses offered on our website, shall be the property of our website. These materials are protected by intellectual property laws and are intended solely for the personal and non-commercial use of the registered users of our website. Users are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or modifying these materials without explicit permission from our website.

9.2. Mentorship: All materials, including but not limited to guidance notes, worksheets, technical documents, and any other content provided by Mentors during the mentorship program, shall remain the property of the respective Mentors. The ownership and intellectual property rights of these materials are retained by the Mentors. Students are granted a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use these materials solely for their personal educational purposes. Students shall not reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without explicit permission from the respective Mentors.

  1. Termination of use

We may, in our sole discretion, at any time modify or discontinue access to, temporarily or permanently, the website or any Service thereon. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension or discontinuance of your access to, or use of, the website or any content that you may have shared on the website. You will not be entitled to any compensation or other payment, even if certain features, settings, and/or any Content you have contributed or have come to rely on, are permanently lost. You must not circumvent or bypass, or attempt to circumvent or bypass, any access restriction measures on our website.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom. If any part or provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other authority to be invalid and/or unenforceable under applicable law, such part or provision will be modified, deleted and/or enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to give effect to the intent of these Terms and Conditions. The other provisions will not be affected.
